Rackam's Waterfront Bar & Grill
Conch Fritters with jerk mayo
Rackam's has been a favourite amongst tourists and locals for many years. Their George Town restaurant and bar juts out across ironshore and is perfect for watching epic Cayman sunsets. In the daytime, you’ll mainly find tourists wanting to enjoy a seaside lunch before (or after) taking a dip in the harbour’s turquoise waters, with some even bringing snorkel gear to visit the nearby Wreck of the Cali. As happy hour nears the locals flood in to mingle with friends, grab a bite to eat and, of course, a strong drink. With a well-executed menu that includes conch fritters, linguine alfredo, West Indian curry and their famous fish tacos, there is something for everyone. On Friday evenings they serve their addictive curry cheese fries complimentary to all patrons (and sometimes you’ll get a barbecue chicken platter thrown in there too). Be there for their nightly tarpon feeding at 7:30pm and don’t be surprised when the entire bar chimes in to say “It’s time to feed the tarpons!” So swing by with your friends, you’ll be a regular here before you know it.
