Cayman Rejuvenate 2020
In November 2020, the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman hosted their 2nd annual Cayman Rejuvenate, a wellness weekend designated for your mind, body and soul. With the rollercoaster of a year that was 2020 having a wellness weekend was right up my alley and for many other residents on island. Due to travel restrictions this year was slightly different in that the experts were all locally known and respected in their fields, whether it be meditation, fitness, nutrition or yoga. With multiple events planned for the weekend I chose to take part in the breathing-focused Kundalini Yoga by Bliss Yoga, brain-soothing Crystal Bowl Sound Baths by Body Works and a blood-pumping Zumba class by School of Fitness.
My weekend wouldn’t be complete without eating some delicious food. Cayman Rejuvenate’s culinary events included farm-to-table Caribbean meals by Chef Thomas Tennant of Tomfoodery Kitchen & Bar, vegan-based fermented creations by Chef Britta Bush of Saucha and plant-based meals by Chef Mo Cubbon of Best Life Culinary topped the weekend. I also took advantage of sushi and salads from the Ritz- Carlton’s restaurants Taikun and Bar Jack, respectively.
Even though I was invited to take part in the weekend as a participant, the Ritz-Carlton also provided me with accommodation for the weekend at their stunning hotel as well. It was my first time attending this event and I’d honestly say it’s worthwhile attending if you are interested in wellness for all aspects of your life. You can’t beat the line-up of experts they have, the amount of activities they hold and the way they utilise so many areas of their stunning hotel including the beach, ballrooms and pools. Save the date for Cayman Rejuvenate in November 2021 and prepare to have a blend of local and international wellness professionals at your disposal.
